Therapy Dog

By now it’s common knowledge that interaction with a pet can reduce anxiety and loneliness, and generally improve the quality of life. You can provide a valuable service to the people in your area when your dog becomes a certified therapy dog. Staffords who are solid in basic obedience and enjoy attention are well suited to become therapy dogs that can accompany you to hospitals, nursing homes and other facilities.

Well-known therapy dog registries are the Delta Society, Therapy Dogs International, Inc., and Therapy Dogs, Inc. Go to Animal Assisted Activities (AAA) for information on registration, testing and health requirements and information on how to join.
