Reading Education Assistance Dog

Would your Stafford enjoy curling up on the floor with children to hear them read stories? Is he calm and reliable, and obedient?

Maybe you would like to have him become a Reading Education Assistance Dog (R.E.A.D.) The R.E.A.D. program was developed by Intermountain Therapy Animals, as an inexpensive, effective and fun way to improve children’s reading skills through the assistance of certified therapy animal teams as literacy mentors. This means they have been screened for skills and temperament, health and cleanliness, good manners and attitude.

They are animals who people can’t resist approaching; they inspire confidence and trust in the people around them.
